Intro to Mindfulness Meditation

Interested in practicing mindfulness meditation? Please join me and a small group of fellow students this fall for an eight week series on the essential practices of Mindfulness Meditation. Each week will focus on one practice. Lessons will be delivered through email on Sundays so that you can explore and practice on your own schedule during the week with a weekly ZOOM practice session together on Thursdays. The series begin on October 3.

Mindfulness Meditation is a practice that can enhance work life, family life, relationships and well, just life in general. In addition to the many documented health benefits of a mindfulness practice, it builds our ability to listen skillfully, speak skillfully and practice discernment in order to be more present and centered throughout our daily activities.

The essential practices of Mindfulness Meditation build progressively stronger skills so it’s ideal to be able to follow through all of the practices. That said, lives are busy and interruptions happen so I’ve designed a multi-aspects delivery each week of the essential practices that you can pick up and practice in a way that is most convenient for you.

On Sundays, October 3 through November 21, you’ll find an inspiration and a practice module along with readings and a video or audio practice session in your email for your practice during the week.

On Thursdays, beginning October 7 through November 25, you can join with me and others for a ZOOM practice session from 12:15-12:45pm EST to practice that week’s practice and share experiences.

Following the 8 week series, on Sunday morning December 5, I’m hosting a mini-retreat, on ZOOM, that will include a longer Mindfulness Meditation, more time for sharing and a yummy Yoga Nidra session to close. Everyone who is signed up for the 8 week session is invited to attend at no-cost.

For the eight week series, I’m asking for a contribution on a sliding scale from $10-$40. Contributions will be donated to the Arbor Day Foundation’s “Time for Trees” initiative in a dedication of our efforts to the world, to climate healing efforts, and in honor of breath. 🌳 🌎 💨
